Fake Chillicothe page starts real fundraising effort

The “fake” Chillicothe page that has gained national attention for their irritation of Chillicothe Mayor, Luke Feeney, has launched a real effort to help a local charity.

This morning, the page announced a fundraising effort for the Chillicothe-based non-profit Operation Untiltheresnone: No Buddy Fights Alone. The organization is dedicated to lowering the suicide rate among veterans and aims help them cope with the issues that they face as they return home from combat.

Untiltheresnone offers activities that brings together veterans by providing opportunities to participate in outings. From paintball to racing, the group hosts events that allow vets to build bonds and create an outlet for the desire for high adrenaline activities that many war-zone veterans have.

The organization also participates in crisis aversion by connecting vets with services. According to the site, though they are limited in their funds, they will do what we can to make sure you get through any crisis veterans come across. Additionally, the organization offers assistance in dealing with the Veterans Administration (VA) by advocating for the patients and helping guide them through.

The fake Chillicothe page has become known for its jokes and memes, but the administrators have taken it upon themselves to make real changes in the community.
