A Highland County inmate who escaped custody Thursday was found Friday in Hamilton County.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a suspicious person call and took Johnny Davis Branham, 37, of Clermont County, into custody around 5 p.m. Friday.
Branham walked out of Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro around 5 p.m. Thursday. At the time he was only wearing red inmate pants, with no shoes or shirt, and ankle shackles.
When he was captured the ankle shackles were gone, and he was wearing blue jeans, a shirt, ball cap and shoes.
Authorities do not know exactly how Branham got from Highland County to Hamilton County.
