Logan Elm School District Building Updates

Logan Elm School District has created a new page on their website to keep the public up to date on the status of the new school. After passing a levy last November with 61% of the vote, the district plans to consolidate all of their elementary schools, the middle school, and the high school into a single campus. The new building will hold classrooms for K-12. The project is expected to cost a total of $58.2 million dollars, with $13.8 million of that coming from the State of Ohio. The new school is expected to be ready for the 2022-2023 school year.

In May 2019, the district received required paperwork from the State and they have been working through various administrative processes since then. The August 13 update indicates that the Ohio Facilities Construction Committee (OFCC) has assigned a project manager to the project. The District has hired Mike Mendenhall, of Mendenhall MCS and Associates, to represent the district during the planning and construction phases of the project. Mendenhall recently worked on construction projects for Chillicothe City Schools. He worked for OFCC before that.
