The President and CEO of Mount Carmel, Ed Lamb will resign on July 25. In a statement from Lamb he said, “This was a difficult decision, but one that is in the best interest of our organization, our colleagues and the people we serve.”
The move came in wake of recent changes the hospital system is making. Earlier today, Lamb fired 23 employees, which included doctors, nurses and pharmacy members for their involvement in the treatment of William Husel‘s patients. One additional staff member was placed on administrative leave and 11 staff members can return with the completion of training and education.
Trinity Health, will soon appoint an interim CEO to replace Lamb at Mount Carmel.
