A new Quinnipiac poll shows that Joe Biden, who is running for the Democratic Presidential nomination, is leading President Trump in both Texas and Michigan.
Biden has edged out Trump by four points in the latest Texas poll, leading 48 to 44 percent. Trump though leads presidential hopefuls Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg and Texans Beto O’Rourke and Julian Castro in polls in the lonestar state.
Michigan appears to be even more bleak for Trump as he trails both Biden and Sanders by 12 points, 53 to 41 percent, and also Warren, Harris and Buttigieg.
The last National general election polls came from FOX News in mid-May which had Trump trailing Biden (49 to 38), Sanders (46 to 41) and Warren (43 to 41). Both Emerson and CNN, also in May, had Trump trailing several Democratic candidates as well.
Though these polls may seem premature as the election is nearly 17 months away, the Democratic primary debates are June 26 and 27 on NBC, putting many in the election-season mindset.
