Ohio man gets 48 years for killing, dismembering girlfriend

Arturo Novoa, 33, has been sentenced in a Youngstown court to 48 years to life in prison for the killing and dismemberment of his former girlfriend, Shannon Graves, 28, whose remains were found in a freezer.

Novoa previously pleaded guilty to murder, corpse abuse and other charges in the killing of Graves. Her limbs were found in July 2017 in a freezer at a property in nearby Campbell. Authorities believe that some of her body was dissolved in acid.
