Two Teays Valley golfers finished in the top three at the Oakhaven Classic at Oakhaven Golf Course in Delaware, Ohio. The tournament is part of a series hosted by Central Ohio Golf Academy (COGA).
Freshman golfer, Audrey Keplar of Orient, tied for second place in the 13-15 Girls division at the tournament. She finished with a two-day total of 165, 21 shots behind the Champion, Annika Manjunath from Dublin, who finished at 144. Keplar and Gracie Baun of Powell, Ohio, with whom she tied, finished eight strokes ahead of the fourth place finisher Mary Murray from Upper Arlington.
Viking Senior Ayden Gillian of Ashville, placed third out of 38 golfers in the 16-18 Boys division. He shot a two-day total of 151, finishing just four strokes back of the leader. Dylan Errington of Gahnna finished first with 146 and Luke Gazarek of Delaware finished second with 147.
Gillian had previously finished 11th at the Garsen Golf Shootout at Darby Creek Golf Course in Marysville, Ohio and ninth at Denison Golf Club Junior Open in Granville, Ohio.
Gillian will be competing at the Turnberry Challenge at Turnberry Golf Course in Pickerington, Ohio on July 10 and 11 and the COGA Tour Showcase at Apple Valley Golf Course in Howard, Ohio.
In addition to Gillian, Brook DeVolld, will be competing at the Turnberry Challenge and COGA Tour Showcase for the Lady Vikings.
